1. The short version

Cadence is a free iOS app for tracking exclusive pumping. It stores your data locally on your phone. It is not a medical device and does not give medical advice. Use it as a journal, not a prescription. Donations are voluntary and non-refundable.

2. Acceptance

By downloading, installing, or using Cadence (the "App"), you agree to these Terms & Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

The App is developed and operated by Mihai Bold ("we," "us," "our").

3. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Cadence on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use. You may not:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App, except as permitted by applicable law
  • Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices
  • Redistribute, resell, or sublicense the App or any portion of it
  • Use the App in a way that violates any law

4. Not medical advice

Cadence is a journaling tool. It is not a medical device, not a diagnostic tool, and it does not replace professional medical advice. Nothing the App displays — including totals, reminders, stash expiry indicators, or trend charts — should be interpreted as clinical guidance.

Always consult a qualified healthcare professional (lactation consultant, pediatrician, IBCLC, or physician) about feeding decisions, pumping schedules, supply concerns, or storage questions. Cadence's built-in fridge/freezer expiry estimates are general guidance only and may not apply to your situation.

You are solely responsible for decisions you make based on information recorded in the App.

5. Your data is yours

Cadence stores sessions, bags, and settings locally on your device. We do not have copies. We cannot recover data lost because a device was wiped, restored without a backup, or had its Cadence app deleted. If your data matters to you, use Settings → Export CSV periodically and keep a copy somewhere safe.

6. Price, tips, and refunds

The App is provided free of charge. Every feature is available without payment.

Cadence offers optional in-app tips through Apple's In-App Purchase system. Tips are:

  • Voluntary and one-time — no feature of the App is, or will be, gated behind a tip. There are no subscriptions, no ads, and no upsells inside Cadence.
  • Processed by Apple under the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. We do not handle your payment details.
  • Non-refundable from us. Refunds for in-app purchases are handled exclusively by Apple per their published refund policy (reportaproblem.apple.com).

7. Updates and availability

We may release updates, bug fixes, or new features at any time. We may also, on rare occasions, pause distribution, change features, or retire the App. We are not obligated to maintain backwards compatibility with older iOS versions, and we may drop support for versions Apple no longer supports.

8. As-is, no warranty

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or secure. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or profit, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the App — including any decisions you make based on information displayed in it.

If some liability cannot lawfully be excluded, our total liability to you is limited to €100 or the amount you have donated to us in the preceding 12 months, whichever is greater.

10. Indemnification

You agree to defend and hold us harmless from any claim arising out of your misuse of the App, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of someone else's rights.

11. Termination

You can stop using Cadence at any time by deleting it from your device. We may terminate or suspend your license to the App if you materially breach these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — ownership, warranty disclaimer, limitation of liability, governing law — will survive.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Romania. Disputes shall be brought before the competent courts in Bucharest, Romania. If you are a consumer resident in the EU, you retain the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of your country of residence.
